Session types
The programme combines invited keynotes, contributed presentations, and collaborative breakout sessions:
- Keynotes have a 45-minute slot and set the stage for the discussion of the day.
- Presentations are contributed talks of roughly 20 minutes each.
- Breakout sessions are the core of the workshop. In parallel sessions, small groups work on the four research directions, with the goal of critically assessing progress since the original priority research directions and identifying open challenges.
- Presentation of breakout findings brings the groups back together to report their results to all participants.
- Organisational and collaborative slots — session overview, session alignment, status sync, final result preparation, and the social event — are used to coordinate between the groups and to prepare the joint outcome of the workshop.
The findings collected during the breakout sessions form the basis of the joint scientific article that will be prepared after the workshop.
